This Johns Creek home was running two older outdoor units that had clearly seen better days. Rusted coil guards, overgrown vegetation pressing in on all sides, and worn-out equipment sitting on deteriorating pads - it was a setup that was working on borrowed time. When a system looks like that on the outside, you can bet the efficiency inside isn't what it used to be either.

We pulled both units and started fresh. Two new Trane condensers went in side by side, properly spaced and sitting on new pads with a clean stone surround and treated wood framing. The difference isn't just cosmetic. Trane builds equipment that's made to handle Georgia summers without breaking a sweat, and having two properly matched units means each zone of the home gets the cooling capacity it actually needs.

Here's why this matters for a two-system home - when one unit starts aging out, the other usually isn't far behind. Replacing both at the same time means you're not dealing with a second installation job a year or two later, and you get consistent efficiency and warranty coverage across the board. It's one of those decisions that pays off quickly.

The install itself was done clean. New condenser pads, proper clearance around each unit, and lines run neatly against the house. We don't just drop equipment and leave. The setup needs to be right so the system performs the way it's designed to and lasts as long as it should.

If your outdoor unit is showing rust, making noise, or just struggling to keep up, it's worth having someone take a look before the heat really sets in. Catching it early gives you options - waiting until it quits usually doesn't.
