Your AC Has Been Working Hard This Summer

Summer is not done with us yet. Your AC has been running hard for months, and that kind of sustained use takes a toll - even on well-maintained systems. The units that break down mid-August are almost never the ones that got a tune-up earlier in the season.

Here is the thing most homeowners don't think about: an AC system that is struggling to keep up is not always one that has completely failed. Sometimes it is just dirty coils, low refrigerant, worn contactors, or a capacitor on its last leg. Those are all things we catch during a standard maintenance visit - before they turn into an emergency call on the hottest day of the year.

A good tune-up does a few things at once. It helps your system run more efficiently, which means it is not working harder than it needs to. That keeps your energy bills in check and puts less stress on the components that are expensive to replace. It also gives us a chance to flag anything that looks like it is headed toward a problem.

We do this for both residential and light commercial systems. Whether you have one unit or two, a tune-up covers the same ground - cleaning, inspecting, testing, and making sure everything is dialed in. If your system has been running nonstop, now is a smart time to get eyes on it before the season wraps up.
